How to Control Spam
Spam is huge problem for Wordpress blogs. I find that the easiest way around it is to simply establish a blacklist of words. Any comment using one of these magic words is automatically held it moderation.
You can set this up by doing the folloiwng:
- Go to your administration panel
- Go to Options > Discussion
- Enter your blacklist terms in the box marked “Comment Moderation”
Here are my blacklisted terms. Feel free to cut and paste them into your Comment Moderation box.
